Development

Headwall’s primary focus is the redevelopment of properties that are in need of major renovation, a change of use, and new tenants. Utilizing an experienced team of architects, general contractors, and engineers, we collaberate with each tenant to create unique and functional spaces.

The initial construction phase includes removing non-original renovations, improving the structure and mechanical systems, and rebuilding the exterior shell. At the same time, we market the property and map out the possibilities for interior construction. Occasionally, the most efficient option is to complete the interiors prior to securing tenants. More commonly, however, we work closely with prospective tenants to design custom upfits which suit their exact specifications. In these cases, tenants can be sure they will be working with an experienced development team whose priority is building the perfect space for their business—on time and on budget.

Headwall views each project as a partnership between the developer and the tenant. When it’s complete and our work has breathed new life into an old building, we’ve accomplished something that’s more than a great work space—it’s a point of pride.
